DMG launch group buying website

Staff Writer

The 'group buying' sector has exploded over the past year with now at least 30 separate sites in existence in Australia alone.

The latest is "getinquick.com.au" which is a site launched and owned by DMG Radio, and launched this week in Brisbane. DMG Digital Director Rebekah Horne commented:

“Our goal is to be the leading group buying site in Australia for 18-39 year-olds offering quality targeted deals to our highly engaged audience.”

Whilst the sector is highly competitive with low margins, an advantage for DMG will be the ability to cross-promote heavily through the Nova brand to drive awareness and traffic to the site.

Offers on the site at launch include discount mens haircuts, half-price chickens and restaurant specials.
