Newcastle Ratings: Triple M extends lead, Hit falls behind ABC

Tanya & Steve extend their lead

Another ratings win in Newcastle was a formality for 102.9 Triple M Newcastle.

The dominant Novacastrian station extended its lead overall in the region with an 18.5% share of listening (+1.0).

The chasing pack had a shakeup in the third survey of the year for Newcastle, with ABC Newcastle rising into second place with a big gain to 11.9% (+2.1).

It pushes the national broadcaster just ahead of Hit106.9 and triple j, both on 11.8%.

On Breakfast, Triple M’s Steve & Tanya – who recently inked a new three-year deal – extended their lead ahead of Jenny & Dan on ABC.

triple j’s Ben & Liam finished third in their final survey, ahead of Hit’s Nick, Jess & Simon.

Kennedy Molloy is the #1 Drive show in the region, on Triple M.
