The evidence and prosecution case that led to the jailing of a man in one of Australia‘s most infamous cases is the subject of landmark investigative podcast Trial By Water by The Age and The Sydney Morning Herald.
The five-part podcast series comes as a joint investigation delves into the evidence around the tragic deaths of three children nearly two decades ago, after the car they were in ended up in a dam.
Their father, Robert Farquharson, was subsequently found guilty of triple murder and sentenced to 33 years in prison.
Farquharson has always insisted he is innocent, saying it was a tragic accident. He maintains that he coughed and passed out.
Hosted by award-winning investigative journalist Michael Bachelard, the series will take listeners deep into the evidence to dissect the case, play never-before heard audio from inside the courtroom and feature exclusive interviews with detectives, scientists and doctors.
