New radio campaign supports the adoption of racing greyhounds in WA

SCA and ARN have donated airtime in support of a new radio campaign to help retired racing greyhounds find their forever homes.

Soundbyte, Hearts & Science, voiceover artist Joel Jackson and freelance creative Alida Henson joined forces to create the pro-bono campaign.

It’s the brainchild of Henson, who became a foster carer for a greyhound called Blue, and soon discovered there are more dogs needing a home than there are families looking to adopt.

She called on her industry contacts to help get the word out.

The campaign compares the way greyhounds have been regarded throughout history with the way they’re treated today, will run on the Hit and Triple M networks, Mix94.5, 96FM and 96FM 80s throughout April.

The campaign supports Greyhound Adoptions WA, a not-for-profit organisation whose mission statement is: ‘Adopting a greyhound won’t change the world but the world will change for that greyhound.’
