‘Classic Hits and Cool Country’ is the new on-air image for Tamworth’s 88.9fm.

It was launched during the station’s weekend broadcast from the New England Outdoor Adventure Expo.

Station CEO George Frame says the recent resurgence of the 2024 Tamworth Country Music Festival – and international artists Beyonce, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift and Australians James Johnston and Kasey Chambers leading the way – reinforces that country music is now ‘cool.’
