New EP confirmed for Fox FM’s Fifi, Dave, Fev & Byron
Merrickville executive producer Leon Sjogren is departing Triple M Sydney and will join Fox FM brekkie as EP for Fifi, Dave, Fev & Byron.
“I’m bloody excited to be heading back to my hometown of Melbourne to work with such an awesome team,” he told Radio Today.
“Although I will miss my Triple M Sydney family including the great Merrick Watts and brilliant Jamie Angel who have both taught me a lot (mainly about NRL, which honestly I still have no clue about) but I’m pumped to be working with the Fox brekky team.”
Sjogren is no stranger to the Fox FM breakfast cast, having previously produced Fifi & Jules for the SCA-owned Hit Network.
“One of my first jobs in radio was producing Fifi & Jules, so I’ve worked with both Fifi and Byron Cooke. I’ve been mates with Dave Thornton for a while, and I’ve only heard great things from Brendan Fevola.
The return to Melbourne comes at the tail end of Sjogren’s podcast, Am I Funny, that chronicles his schooling of stand-up comedy. His first gig is on Monday.
I’m performing my first ever standup tonight for my podcast @AmIFunnyPod and I’ve never felt more nervous. Feels like I’m about to skydive.

“This move is all happening as I’m about to try stand-up comedy for the very first time which is all being recorded for my podcast Am I Funny.
“I’ve been documenting my journey to trying stand-up for the very first time… well, when it rains it pours, but I work best under pressure, so I look forward to the challenge!”
Nice! Bring some of that Dan and Maz magic to Melbourne – good luck, legend!
