Navigate The Legal Minefield with John Melia

In 2022, Howdy Partners Media teamed up with Melbourne lawyer John Melia to create a new legal podcast to fill a much-needed void in the community: Legal advice at no cost. 

The concept connects the audience directly with John Melia, an experienced legal practitioner.   

John will answer any legitimate question posed by a listener at no charge. The clock is not ticking and questions are welcomed at any time on any legal subject. 

In the series to date, John has discussed many issues including domestic violence, work injuries, family law and preparing for death. 

Program producer and co-host Kevin Hillier recognised the absence of free legal advice in the market and thinks the podcast is a great tool for listeners. 

 “John has all the knowledge and experience built over decades as a lawyer but it is his calm, measured manner that instantly makes the whole process less scary for us mere mortals,” said Hillier.

“John knows the law, he doesn’t need to speak its language. I can’t think of a less intimidating way to get your legal question answered and the price is a bonus. We see this podcast as a great tool for people to utilise and it is totally confidential.”
