Nathan Buckley commits to another two years at SEN

Nathan Buckley’s cut-through opinions and insights will remain accessible to SEN’s audience and fans – with the Collingwood AFL great re-committing for a further two years.

After a successful first season in radio post-coaching whet his appetite, Bucks will continue to be heard each Monday morning on SEN during the next two footy seasons between 6 and 9am. He’ll also remain alongside Gerard Whateley each Tuesday morning from 9am during the Whateley program.

Buckley says he has embraced radio over the season and is delighted to continue.

“I’ve really enjoyed 2022 with SEN and working alongside some of the most experienced and respected media personalities in the game. Mornings with Garry and with Gerard have been enlightening and absorbing. I’ve learned a lot,” Buckley said.

“I believe anyone with a media platform carries a great deal of responsibility. Providing context underneath the headline is crucial in a longer form setting and bringing this perspective to the passionate listeners of SEN has been a privilege I have enjoyed.

“In the coming years I hope to continue to provide this perspective and prosecute the headline or opinion that can quite quickly ignore the reality underneath….”

SEN Chief Executive Officer Craig Hutchison says Buckley’s commitment is a great result for the SEN audience.

“Bucks made an immediate impact on SEN within his first year, and we are rapt we get to build on that for the years ahead.”

Further details of SEN’s breakfast strategy in 2023 will be announced in coming weeks.
