Natarsha Belling leaves Triple M Sydney Breakfast
Just weeks after the launch of Triple M’s new-look Sydney Breakfast show, Natarsha Belling has announced she is stepping away from her role as co-host, alongside Beau Ryan and Aaron Wood.
Belling will now instead take on the role as presenter of the LiSTNR podcast The Briefing, Afternoon Edition.
She will continue to anchor Seven’s National News at midday.
The new Triple M Breakfast line up has only been on air since January 20 this year.
Breaking the news to listeners this morning, Belling explained that journalism is her true passion.
“While I love breakfast radio, I’m going to have to farewell you guys.”
“I step away from this team here at Triple M breakfast wishing you sincerely all the very best for the future. To our lovely loyal listeners, without you, we are nothing. To our audience, thank you for all the laughs and as always, your incredible support.”
Belling’s announcement comes less than a week after Marty Sheargold parted ways with Triple M following his controversial comments about the Matildas, women’s sport and endometriosis.
Just say we planned this the whole time and it’s fine.
Don’t mention how much we spent on the billboards.
Triple MMMennnnnn
So the new 2MMM breakfast show is called “Two Blokes who used to play for Cronulla”
This doesn’t look very good given the timing of Marty leaving, not to mention the billboards costing us millions of dollars. Maybe get him to say something about it all being BAU
No idea what happened in Natarsha’s case, but I’ve often wondered how hard it must be for people with extended TV careers to move to breakfast FM radio. The hours are very very hard and unlike TV there are no writers to lean on, you have to create and bring the content yourself every single day. It’s a much harder gig than hosting a morning TV show or the 6PM news.
