Townsville’s Zinc 100.7 is launching a new breakfast team with former Big Brother housemate Jess Hardy joining Vinnie Aston. It was the reality romance of Marty & Jess with Season 2 of Big Brother in 2002. Since then Jess Hardy has been on TV and various projects on Foxtel, along with a radio career that’s taken her around the country including a stint at Nova 100 Melbourne. Joining her is kiwi Vinnie Aston who has worked for The Rock, More FM Tauranga among others throughout his 22 year career. Zinc is his first radio gig in Australia.

Former SCA Chief Digital Officer Vijay Solanki, has been nabbed as the new CEO of IAB.

Alison Geale has been appointed General Manager of SCA Gold Coast replacing Nick Scott. Alision re-joined SCA in 2013 on the GC as Director of Sales and will step into the role of General Manager on July 4th.

Former SCA PR head, Myka Hoffman has joined UMM agency as Head of Public Relations.

After 22 years on 92.5 Gold FM, Richard ‘Chooky’ Fowler is retiring from Breakfast on the Gold Coast. Since starting as a causal on the GC on Christmas Day 1993, Richard has survived the rule of eight different General Managers and seen countless Program and Content Directors come and go. But for 17 of those 22 years, Richard worked alongside Sarah Wharmy, who became better known as his ‘work wife’.

Triple M Brisbane have confirmed Luke Bradnam will be the front man of a new local early Drive home offering in 2017. Bradnam’s radio career began back in the 90’s at B105 as a Black Thunder Pilot. From there he worked on numerous stations before making a name for himself on the high-rating Drive show with Hot Tomato on the GC. More recently Luke has been covering boating, fishing and weather reports for both Nine Gold Coast News and Nine News Brisbane with regular guest spots on the Today Show. Luke will join Triple M Brisbane on January 9th, 2017 for the early drive home.

Josh Elliot is the new Chief Operating Officer of the Capital Radio Network. Josh who has been with Blytons Capital Radio Group for over 12 years will oversee Radio Snowy Mountains, Radio Gippsland, Charlotte Pass Snow Resort, Selwyn Snow Resort, Kosciuszko Chalet Hotel, Snowy Mountains Airport, Jindabyne Cinema and Cooma Twin Cinema.

Ash Pollard from My Kitchen Rules had made her debut on Star FM. One of the higher profile home cooks on Sevens MKR and on the floor with Dancing With The Stars, 30 year old Ash has joined Star FM in Shepparton taking on breakfast for the next month.

2SER’s Sunday breakfast’s Nic Healey, has been named as the stations new weekday breakfast host. Nic has been a volunteer producer and presenter at 2SER since 2013 and has presented the Sunday breakfast show for the past year.

After a run on breakfast on Star FM Breakfast with Dane in Griffith, Carly Portch has made the move north to HOT FM. Carly has joined Ben Norris on HOT FM Central Queensland Breakfast, based in Rockhampton a competitive market with four commercial licenses in play.
