Mix 102.3 delivers happy concert ending to P!nk obsessed mother-daughter duo

This week on Mix102.3’s Max & Ali in the Morning, an Adelaide mum and her daughter were brought to tears after being surprised with tickets to see P!nk in Melbourne.

This followed a very unfortunate turn of events ahead of the popstar’s Adelaide concert.

Bethany Brown and mum Aasta were crossing the pedestrian bridge en route to Adelaide Oval to see P!nk on February 27 when Aasta suddenly slowed down.

Having had some heart complications in the past, Bethany joked with her mum, “You’re not going to have a heart attack or anything are you?,” which the pair laughed off.

Once they entered the oval, they made it as far as the toilets before Aasta did indeed double over as result of a heart attack.

Petrified, Bethany ran around looking for help while waiting on an ambulance.

Other concertgoers stepped up, offering fans, wet cloths, and support.

On air yesterday, Bethany recounted the moment she thought she was going to lose her mum.

“(My mum) is my best friend. I would’ve lost my mum and my best friend at once,” she said.

Aasta underwent surgery at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and while in recovery, she and Bethany could hear the muffled sounds of the concert they were longing to be at.

Bethany said “Mum was dying to see P!nk, pardon the pun.”

Following the incident, Bethany took to Facebook to thank all those who helped out and offered a friendly smile. That’s when Max Burford and Ali Clarke came to the rescue.

After pulling some strings, Max and Ali surprised the mother-daughter duo live on air with tickets, flights, and accommodation for two to see P!nk in Melbourne.
