Megan and Bray get a new look in Podcast Episode 2

‘Try using Canva’ you suggested in the comment posts when you saw the artwork for Megan and Bray’s first podcast last week.

Yea, ok, it was crap… But Ollie has come to the rescue.

The day after we published last week’s podcast we got an email from a reader named Ollie, who had made us a new podcast tile. Thanks Ollie, it looks great!

Ollie very humbly did not identify himself when he sent the tile to us at our email address, but when we decided to use it, we wanted to know more about him.

Ollie Shelbourne is a 2nd year uni student at UTS, studying Media & Comms (Journalism).

Ollie told us he is a huge fan of Radio Today and the Australian radio industry, and has been obsessed with radio since he was young.

“I remember being given a clock radio for my 9th birthday, whilst my friends would stay up playing Nintendo DS, I would stay up all night listening to the Hot30 Countdown back when it was Tim Lee and Bigzy! I used to have a little notebook and write down the 1 to 30 and then whatever song landed where on the chart – I’d then take it into school the next day to show all my friends (this was pre Apple Music & Spotify so I was clearly very excited). Ever since I have been an avid fan of Radio!!”

It seems Ollie is on the right track for a career in radio. “You guys are the first website I click on in the morning as I love to keep up to date with everything that’s going on in the radio world! I am hoping to get into the Industry at some point.” Ollie clearly has graphic design skills and is now gaining journalism skills, plus he has plenty more to offer any employer when he finishes his course. Content Directors, keep an eye on him when you are making your lists of up and coming young talent.

With their new found graphic, Megan and Bray are all set to fill you in with this week’s radio goss and to get serious for a while as they find out the key trends in this week’s radio survey.
