Marto, Ed and Robin’s first day – the new Triple M Brisbane

Staff Writer

The new breakfast lineup of Marto, Ed and Robin started at 5.30am today on Triple M Brisbane, and they hit the ground running.

Robin Bailey and the boys sounded like a well-oiled machine; delivering strong content and chemistry; sounding like they had been on-air together for years.

One of the first callers to the show welcomed Robin to the station, saying he had switched over from her former station.

The new Triple M Brisbane, as well as featuring the new and improved breakfast lineup, has tweaked its music to a new broader rock music mix, appealing to men and women – no doubt looking to pick up some of Robin’s listeners from ARN’s 97.3.

Triple M’s new breakfast lineup of Marto Ed and Robin covered a range of subjects on its first day, including getting to know Robin and her three sons, the Alan Border medal, the Trump inauguration, US protests, Australia Day BBQ’s and the Melbourne massacre.

The show sounded fun and informative covering a range of news and current affairs.

The new Triple M features “the best classics and new stuff” and also includes a new show from Roy and HG, and Luke Bradnam’s new local drive show.

SCA Content Director David Rymer told Radio Today, “A lot of preparation and anticipation has gone into the launch of our new show today, and I couldn’t  be happier with the way the new show sounds and the prospects ahead for Marto Ed and Robin.”

Radio Today talks exclusively to Robin Bailey about her new role tomorrow.
