Martin Walters resigns as Managing Director of 2SER

Martin Walters resigned as Managing Director of radio station 2SER last week.

2SER is a community radio station jointly owned by The University of Technology Sydney and Macquarie University.

After joining 2SER in 2019 as the station celebrated its 40th year, Martin led the station through pandemic lockdowns and raised money to replace the FM antenna damaged by a lightning strike in 2020. 

Martin has transitioned the station through a time of many improvements to internal systems and processes, and an organisational restructure at the end of 2021.

The Board of Directors thanked Martin for his “compassionate leadership, enthusiasm and achievements, which have positioned the station well for future success. The Board wishes Martin all the best as he pivots his career to a different sector.”

Cameron Woods has been appointed as Acting Managing Director while the 2SER board of directors begin a formal recruitment process for the position.
