Sports Entertainment Network (SEN) has secured the services of respected sports journalist Mark Duffield, who’s joining SEN WA.

Duffield, who previously held the position of Chief Football Writer at The West Australian, will host his own weekly morning program from 8am – 10am Monday to Wednesday.

Starting on November 7, the show will focus on news, opinion, key guests, interviews, talkback and the topics that matter to the WA sporting landscape.

It will be heard on 657 AM in Perth; on SEN WA on the SEN app; SENSpirit 621 AM in Bunbury; SEN Goldfields 1611 AM in Kalgoorlie; and SEN Peel in the Mandurah region.

The SEN app will also feature daily video clips and audio streaming from SEN’s TKD Studios at Optus Stadium and be widely available on podcast, including via the SEN app.

Duffield also assumes the hosting role of Inspiring Sports Stories on 657 AM and the SEN app in 2023.

SEN Chief Executive Officer Craig Hutchison says he is delighted to add someone of Duffield’s experience to the SEN WA airwaves.

“WA has been craving an agenda shaping morning sports show and ‘Duff’ is the single most influential journalist in football and sport in the state,’ Hutchison said.

“Listeners can expect to hear plenty of opinion and insights with the program covering all aspects of WA sport, whether it be the West Coast Eagles, Fremantle Dockers, our very own Perth Wildcats or local community sport stories.”

WA Commercial Director Lachlan Smith says “We are fiercely committed to local content here in WA and we welcome ‘Duff’ to the SEN WA family.”

Duffield says he is looking forward to taking on the new challenge.

“I am so excited to join the SEN team. I have always loved radio and when Craig approached me to do this show it felt right straight away. I can’t wait to get started in November.”
