So glad he is gonnoooo – just heard this morning – hope they put someone exciting on – he certainly was not -not that i listened to him – only heard excerpts – that was enough for me…

Dear Dieter – What’s being a ‘lefty’ got to do with it?

I think 2SM was trying to give him the boot for a while.

He was very hard to listen to., 4 hours of full on politics, mainly bashing the government.
No light and shade. All negative.

He said on air many times that he was not biased. But on one morning he had Albo, Chris Minns, Prue Carr and members of the Union movement. All on ONE show!!

He always gave it to Premier Gladys and recently Perrrottet for not coming on his program ( I wonder why they didn’t ? )

And he is low enough on his Facebook post to ‘take full responsibility ‘ but in the next sentence blame his producer. He is the one that turns the microphone on.. the buck stops with him.

A lot is said about Bill Caralis, but he has made the correct decision this time.

Bill now has a task on finding someone to replace him, and Richard King I think will be well suited to fill the hole for now.

All radio and TV announcers in Australia are clowns in all they do in attacking their listeners all over Australia. For them is show time so they hunt out all for their money machines..Grow up Australia and never listen to them again. Censorship you will not post my comments your also bullshit..

I’m glad Bill Coralis got rid of the nutter. He was the rudest SOB on radio. They say children are a reflection of their parents. God help Australia!

I am disgusted by these comments. It sounds like Marcus would be getting a free pass, if his politics matched the rest of the talkback fraternity.

Amongst other things, Kyle can tell Jackie to F-off and we all lap it up and call it great free advertising for the show, but Marcus makes one stuff up, and he is subjected to a pile-on? Disgraceful.

Wow. So many ‘would be if they could be’ talk radio hosts here.
Not many sacked hosts have garnered a 15K petition to have them reinstated a day after they are sacked.
How many of you on here have had a Sydney breakfast show?
The mere fact he has so many haters ( and far more many supporters) proves he has done a great job.
Don’t be too surprised to see him pop up on 2GB at some point. He has a strong, loyal and captive support base who would listen in. Isn’t that the point, 8ncreasing and attracting listeners ( and haters)?

This was clearly the straw that broke the camels back.

The guy had absolutely no idea who his audience was. He was trying to be a radical lefty on an AM commercial talk network.

Anyone with even a tiny bit of experience in radio will tell you that you that commercial AM talk is conservative heartland – especially on the regional stations he was networked into.

His pandering to left wing radicals was not gong to attract any listener over from TripleJ. But he kept doing it – over and over.

Did he honestly think that his near radical left ranting was doing the super network any good? Radical left show leading into John Laws… it was breaking every talk programming rule.

To be honest, I’m surprised he lasted so long.

In response to William: labelling someone a radical leftie is very much a trait of the raving conservative camp. It appears you hold the opinion that only conservatives have a right to a voice, especially on “conservative AM radio”. Well William, I strongly beg to differ. In fact, I challenge your assumption that Marcus is a raving leftie at all. Run an audit of his content and when you have fact based evidence of this left bias, come back and present it to us. I guess we won’t be hearing from you then?

He had no idea who his audience was and sounded pretty amateur the way he presented the show.
They were probably thinking on sacking him for while as hardly anyone called when he was on.

Such bad taste. No professionalism or integrity. Definitely sackable.

Please dont bring back Marcus Paul he is so boring. He should have never replaced Dave Sullivan. I would listen to the news then turn off the radio before Marcus Paul came back on air. Marcus would go on and on about politics he sounds like a broken record.
Bring back Dave Sullivan he is worth listening too.

Emailed him once re his program content and how he measured his listeners given 2SM are not part of the radio survey He replied I should piss off to 2gb. Nice.

While I emphasise the child question with the quiz was absolutely unacceptable, the broader question has to be asked how can Kyle be the most rudest, obnoxious spoonfed clique, who gets away with everything, from mocking and hating disability people, LGBT, and other minorities, why does Marcus make one mistake, and the entire “hate brigade here come down like a ton of bricks. I’m with “JB” and “Ouch” with this one, many of the commenters here seem to have a rather contradictory view of this whole situation, give Marcus a break, he’s human, all you haters need to grow up.

Markus was better than listening to 2ue and that’s most likely why he is gone ,now I have to put up with the ABC.
