Marcus Paul Exits 2CC

Staff Writer

Marcus Paul has exited Canberra talk station 2CC.

Marcus who resigned this morning, had been part of the Capital Radio Network station for four years and was  hosting the Drive program Canberra Live for the last two and half years.

The Canberra Times reports that Marcus had been considering the move for a couple of weeks and was quoted as saying: “The decision was mine and I just feel that it’s time to move on to other areas including broadcast journalism in other capacities”.

His exit from 2CC comes as the market is in Survey 1 for 2016.  The paper also quotes 2CC Station manager Michael Jones saying: “It’s his business. It’s completely his decision and his personal private business”.

Rod Henshaw will take Marcus Paul’s shift in the short term until a new host is secured by the network. Survey 1 results from GfK will be released April 20.

Hi Marcus, this is my worry, I wish the media would stop advertising how hot the day is going to be how strong the winds , at the moment will we are surrounded by these jerks who light fires , I really think if the media keeps the wild weather to a minimum, it will maybe help to stop the jerks lighting fires
