Mamamia launches two new podcasts ‘What I Eat When’ and ‘The Undone’

Former Editor & Content Director

Women’s media network Mamamia has announced its plans for 2021, including adding two new podcasts to its extensive suite of audio products.

The media company also revealed it had accelerated past 100 million Australian downloads for its podcasts.

Mamamia said women had relied extensively on its network throughout 2020, something head of content, Holly Wainwright, said is “a privilege and a responsibility”.

At its Upfronts event yesterday, Mamamia founder, Mia Freedman also revealed its next podcast plays.

What I Eat When is a food podcast about life, not recipes, Mamamia said, and will be hosted by “Italian foodie” Silvia Colloca. The podcast will feature well-known Australians speaking about the meals that have special meaning and memories for them.

It will launch “in time for the food and festivity of summer”, Mamamia said.

Mamamia’s other new podcast is “less polished” it said, and will feature two unknown twenty-somethings who share an inner-city flat and a workplace – Mamamia. The Undone will see Emily Vernem and Lucy Neville dissect life’s big issues – sex, dating disasters, politics, money, identity and health.

The Undone launches on November 19, and is being supported by launch partner Toyota Yaris.

Two months ago, Elissa Ratliff returned to Mamamia as head of podcasts, following the departure of Rachel Corbett, who went to NOVA, and Bridget Northeast, who moved to Network 10.
