Maddi Wright chats leaving radio for family on ‘The Radio Randomly Podcast’

Former Triple M Cairns Breakfast announcer Maddi Wright is Daniel ‘Gawndy’ Gawned’s latest guest on The Radio Randomly Podcast.

Maddi had worked in her current role at Triple M since 2017 but recently decided to quit her radio gig.

The pair chat about Maddi’s decision to leave radio to spend more time with her family.

“Leaving the market, I quit as of last week,” she says.

“I’m moving to Melbourne to be closer to my family.”

She also speaks of her own history in radio, which many may not know about, and why radio is still a big part of her life.

“A lot of people think that I’m fresh into radio… but I’ve been in the radio industry for 13 years.

Maddi reveals she was the “BBQ bitch… on the street team,” at 4KQ and later B105 & Triple M.
