Maddie Burke lands in Melbourne

It’s not exactly ‘in news just to hand’, but Perth local Maddie Burke has recently moved across the country to join the ARN newsroom in Melbourne.

She comes to Melbourne after an extensive career in Perth, where she delivered drive news on 96FM. She also spent five years as the breakfast newsreader at Nova 93.7.

ARN National News Director Deborah Clay says Maddie is a welcome addition to the Melbourne news operation.

“Maddie transferred from our Perth newsroom to our Melbourne office in November.

Her credible and conversational approach to news is in alignment with ARN’s news strategy and Maddie is doing a fantastic job keeping our listeners updated.”

It’s a big move, but it’s one Maddie has enjoyed.

“I have fallen in love with this place! It’s easy to see why Melbourne’s been named ‘world’s most liveable city’ for seven years straight.

“There’s great food, friendly people and so much to do. Deb Clay and the team in the newsroom here have made me feel welcome too.”

The move to Melbourne sees her presenting drive news on both KIIS 101.1 and Gold 104.3.

Big loss to Perth radio Maddie is one of the best! Only a matter of time until she’s on a breakfast show.
