From the Vault, here's a couple of innocuous photos that actually reference a significant time in Australian radio.

Both are from the internal roof of the Nova 100 programming area in Melbourne. The hole in the roof marked 'survey 1' is from Nova 100's debut survey where it launched with a 10.5% share, in the #2 FM position. This hole was caused by then CEO Paul Thompson opening a bottle of champagne in celebration and the cork inadvertently hitting the roof of the building.

The hole marked 'survey 2', is from Nova 100's second survey when it took the #1 position outright with 12.1%, when the first survey champagne incident was reprised.

Both holes in the roof remain to this day, with the survey noted next to them, as a kind of tribute to those two moments.
