LiSTNR and Jess Rowe unveil special ‘Safe Space’ series
Journalist and podcaster Jess Rowe is introducing a series of special episodes to The Jess Rowe Big Talk Show to run throughout August, titled ‘Safe Space’.
Rowe is expanding her platform to feature female voices and stories that are often marginalised and overlooked.
The series will provide a safe space for Australians with unique and challenging life experiences to share their stories and perspectives.
The special episodes will spotlight Australian women bravely sharing their lived experiences, including:
- Coping with a schizophrenia diagnosis
- Battling an ice addiction for 28 years
- Overcoming racism as a young Asian Australian
- Addressing fat and obesity stigma
Rowe says “Sharing our stories is how we connect and feel understood and less alone in this crazy world! With Safe Space I have the opportunity to share the microphone with people who are not often heard, but whose stories need to be shared.”
Throughout August, listeners can tune in every Wednesday to hear a new ‘Safe Space’ conversation. The first episode is available now on LiSTNR.
Jess Rowe is the best of us! Can’t wait to get into this series.
