Let it be Beatles: The community radio show that’s 32 years old and still going strong
It was more than three decades ago now ago now that a group of devoted Beatles fans got together and created a community radio show to share their passion with like-minded listeners.
Today, after first going to air in 1992, Let It Be Beatles has never missed a beat.
32 years later, the show is still going strong, heard live once a week on WYN FM, in Melbourne’s western suburbs.
Peter McMahon, who met fellow radio and Beatles enthusiast Graeme Dickenson whilst working at 97.4 3WRB, says it’s just one great example of what can be achieved through community radio.
“This show goes around the world each week and has some of the world’s greatest artists as guests.”
Hosted by Graeme, Gary, Gav, Greg, Sam, Jo and Dave, Let It Be Beatles can be heard live on Monday nights from 9 until 11 on 88.9 WYN FM and is also streamed online.
