Kyle Sandilands reveals brain aneurysm diagnosis

Reporter

Kyle Sandilands kicked off this morning’s show on KIIS 1065 and KIIS 101.1 with a major health announcement, revealing that on Friday, he was told by medical professionals that he has a brain aneurysm that needs to be treated immediately.

He treated the announcement, and the associated warnings from doctors, in his typical self-deprecating fashion.

As he prepares to undergo treatment, he is expected to be off air for 6-8 weeks, depending on the speed of his recovery.

Bruno Bouchet, Kyle’s manager and part of the KIIS team, said that the medical team is confident of a successful treatment procedure, to which Kyle replied:

“We were confident of a successful launch into Melbourne and look how that’s gone. I want facts!”

This is the first time I’ve heard either Kyle or Jackie explicitly state how botched their Melbourne launch was. Even they know how bad they’ve been going in that market! With Kyle off on sick leave for 6-8 weeks, their ratings will plummet even further to the point where Rete Italia, SYN FM and SBS Radio will have more listeners than K&J in Melbourne.

If only they had a Mitch Churi type person to keep the show flowing, pump Jackie up and create good energy with guests …
