Radio producer Jana Hocking launches dating podcast via News Corp
Jana Hocking, a producer on Triple M Sydney’s Breakfast show Moonman In The Morning and a dating columnist for news.com.au, has a new podcast.
Kinda Sorta Dating will be released each Thursday and will feature Hocking attempting to navigate her way through the maze of modern dating and relationships.
The podcast will tackle questions including: Is it now socially acceptable to ghost someone? Do you still need to wait three days before texting? How soon is too soon to have ‘the talk’?
Hocking said the podcast will be a “dummy’s guide” to finding love and having some fun along the way.
“It’s 2021 and it feels like everyone is just ‘kinda sorta dating’. Trying to find love in a single ‘swipe’, while keeping our hearts open, barriers down and figuring out what the heck that text even meant – it’s exhausting,” she said.
“Throw in new dating terms like ghosting, breadcrumbing and love bombing and you’re left scratching your head.”
News.com.au’s editor-in-chief Lisa Muxworthy said relationships and dating content is incredibly popular with the masthead’s audience, and Hocking brings a lot of light and fun to the topic.
“In our new podcast Kinda Sorta Dating, Jana will be talking to the likes of Candice Warner, Stu Laundy and Colin Fassnidge as well as putting the listener at the centre of the series by responding to their questions. We are really pleased that our audience can be involved in the podcast by asking Jana their relationship questions through a dedicated Facebook page, voicemail and email and she will then discuss and answer questions each week with her guest,” she said.
Good on her for this brilliant initiative I hope it goes gangbusters especially like these new titles love bombing Classic guaranteed!✈
How come there is no Radio Today Tonight podcast tonight?
That sucks, I’m not going to bother with it anymore then. It’s like when tuning into KIIS when Kyle has had a sickie
Hi ‘Bec’,
Are you suggesting that when Jake is unavailable, as was the case yesterday, I call up Beau Ryan as his replacement? Interesting idea!
Hi ‘Vivienne’,
I would have hoped that should I not be available to record an episode of the Radio Today Tonight podcast, that you would have selected someone much more attractive and intelligent than I. No offence to Beau Ryan. As you were!
p.s. for those that don’t know me, this is clearly a joke. beau is much smarter.
