Kim Czosnek becomes Hit Gold Coast’s new content director

Former Editor & Content Director

Former 2DayFM Breakfast executive producer and senior producer of The Kyle & Jackie O Show, Kim Czosnek, is set to lead the content team at the Hit Network’s Gold Coast operation.

Czosnek replaces Ali Longhust who recently took up the role of content director at ARN Brisbane.

Czosnek has held various producing roles, including senior producer at The Kyle & Jackie O Show while it was on 2DayFM between 2010 and 2013, executive producer of The Em Rusciano Radio Show with Harley Breen and then 2DayFM Breakfast with Rusciano, Ed Kavalee, Grant Denyer and Ash London, and executive producer of the Kennedy Molloy Drive show on Triple M.

She finished up at Triple M in October 2019, however rejoins the SCA team in Queensland from August 12.

Head of the Hit Network, Gemma Fordham, said she’s delighted Czosnek is returning to the SCA family.

“Kim has immense experience with leading teams and shows whilst also bringing creative and compelling ideas to life. Having started her radio career at SCA, we are so delighted that she is returning and I’m sure her incredible success and knowledge will be a great asset to the Gold Coast and our listeners,” Fordham said.

Czosnek said she can’t wait to get started.

“I’m thrilled to be joining the talented team on the Gold Coast. With so much growth in the area, it’s an exciting time to be heading North – not only to live in a glorious location, but to work hard with the team in creating the best content that the loyal listeners love. I’m also ready to push the boundaries and engage new listeners.”

In the Gold Coast’s most recent ratings, Hit had a 9.2% share, behind market leader Hot Tomato’s 18.5%.

Its Breakfast show Bianca, Dan & Ben had 11.0%, up 2.5 points, but still behind Hot Tomato’s Galey, Emily Jade & Christo Breakfast Show, which fell 3.7 points to 16.6%.

The next Gold Coast ratings will be released on Thursday, August 12.

When are some actual programmers with programming experience going to step up?

There is a cast of thousands just sitting in that building cruising along.

AV, Trent, Al Dobbie and Bella Frizza all sitting on the bench. Ok maybe not thousands, but a good bunch of top notch big guns. Why do they keep getting overlooked?

BTW no offence to Kim I’m sure she will be awesome, just curious why people already there keep missing out. Seems odd.

Congrats Kim!

Congratulations Kim!!! A great leader.

@Captain My Captain

Have you ever thought those people you mention might not be actually good enough for the role?
I’m sure they’re all nice, friendly & listen to Brené Brown but if they haven’t made any impact by now why should they be rewarded for just hanging around on the GC?!

Seriously
