KIIS 97.3’s Robin & Kip help revive Sizzler’s iconic cheese toast

In a nod to nostalgia, KIIS 97.3’s breakfast hosts Robin & Kip have partnered with popular Brisbane eatery Fritzenberger to bring back the legendary Sizzler cheese toast.

Robin & Kip recently conducted a social media poll asking “What’s one thing from Brisbane’s past that you want to bring back?”

The resounding response was Sizzler’s cheese toast, sparking a wave of fond memories.

It just so happened that Fritzenberger in South Bank had already acquired an authentic Sizzler toaster to recreate the iconic treat, and to celebrate, all this week the restaurant will be offering the side dish free with every meal.

Robin & Kip have jumped on board, organising pop-up locations across Brisbane to share the cheese toast love even further.

In the past two days, the KIIS 97.3 team has handed out hundreds of slices of the beloved toast to hungry Brisbanites.

Tomorrow (Wednesday July 12), the team will be joined by Broncos legend Corey Oates at Bunnings in Brendale from 7am, handing out even more cheesy goodness.
