K rock’s “THE BAND” returns for 2016

It’s a search for the best unsigned or independent artist in Geelong and the Surf Coast, K rock’s The Band returns for 2016.

Lee Stamps, K rock’s Music Director said she is thrilled to showcase local music on air for a 5th year. “Geelong and the Surf Coast have really talented artists, and to play their tracks and highlight their work is one of my favourite events on our calendar.”

Not only will the winner walk away with over $5k worth of airtime, they will gain an instant crowd of over ten thousand when they are the supporting act for Samantha Jade at Run Geelong 2016 on Sunday 20th November.  

Lee Stamps said. “Working closely with previous bands, I have got to know the local music scene and feel honoured to work with them through this process. I’m excited to find the next Famous Will or Sam Hanson and crown another winner. Plus we get to rock out to great music!” The opportunity has proved to be a positive and life changing experience for previous finalists
