Jo Stanley’s “emotional” surprise from co-host Lehmo

Yesterday morning, Melbourne’s GOLD104.3 Breakfast’s Anthony ‘Lehmo’ Lehmann presented co-host Jo Stanley with the first hard copies of her new children’s book series Play Like a Girl. The series, which is in collaboration with AFLW and Bonnier Publishing revolves around a girls’ footy team called The Flyers.

Upon discovering that her books were her surprise, Stanley revealed live on air that she is “really emotional”.

“This is the best surprise ever,” she said. “When I was a little girl I always dreamed of writing books and I never thought I would… and I have.”

All four books in the series are set to be released simultaneously on 1 September and are suitable for ages 8 and up.
