Jimmy & Nath’s epic royal fail

Last night on the Hit Network’s Jimmy & Nath Show, the guys told a cringeworthy story about accidentally mistaking the future king of Denmark – Prince Christian – as an over-eager fan.

During their Breakfast radio days in Tassie, the boys also used to MC local footy games.

One day, a young bloke wearing a footy jumper came up to them. Thinking he was just a fan, Jimmy and Nath said “Yeah mate, we’ll jump in a photo with you.” (spoiler alert: he didn’t want a photo).

On reflection, it was a little strange, considering the boy was taller than both of them at 16 years old, and had a very thick accent.

The poor Prince then politely had his photo taken with them and walked off.

Next morning, that very same photo on was on the front page of the local paper.

The boys thought they’d made it! But no … it turns out they were on the front page of the local newspaper because they’d had their photo taken with the future King!

Jimmy and Nath then expressed their regret at not making more of an effort with him, as they probably could have scored an invite to his 18th birthday party this weekend.
