Hit105’s Abby Coleman reveals pregnancy in emotional on-air announcement

One-third of Brisbane’s Hit105 breakfast crew, Abby Coleman, has announced her third pregnancy and shared her struggle with miscarriages in an emotion-heavy segment this morning.

After calling a family meeting on-air, Abby shared the good news with her broadcasting partners Stav and Matt before her voice audibly cracked and she confessed her elation with the pregnancy comes with fear due to past experiences.

“It’s just been a bit of a hard time to have a third baby, that’s all,” Abby said.

“It’s just weird, it’s just very different after having heaps of miscarriages to have a pregnancy because you’re trying to find joy but it’s so much fear — it’s been really stressful.”

Abby was open in her discussion around her and her husband’s struggles to fall pregnant, once considering IVF, and her trepidation about making the happy news public.

“It’s just really hard telling people you’re pregnant and I think the worst thing is un-telling people as well when you have miscarriages and it’s just been a really hard time and we didn’t know why we were [miscarrying].”

Abby is the mother to two boys with husband, Scott Burdon, six-year-old Finley and three-year-old Jagger.
