Irene Hulme promoted to head of national content at NOVA Entertainment
Nova Network’s music director, Irene Hulme, has been promoted into the new role of head of national content for the wider NOVA Entertainment.
Hulme has held senior content roles at all three major commercial radio networks, Southern Cross Austereo (SCA), Australian Radio Network (ARN) and NOVA.
NOVA Entertainment quickly scooped her up, with chief programming and marketing officer, Paul Jackson, saying at the time he was delighted to get her back.
In March, Hulme broadened her role to group music, production and DAB director, and now it’s expanded again to national head of content.
The new role will see Hulme work alongside NOVA’s senior programming team, Brendan Taylor, Peter Clay, Ben Latimer and Dave McClung, with the remit to oversee the national implementation for music, production, digital, tactics and music marketing.
Jackson was again full of praise for his star recruit.
“Irene is an outstanding radio operator and, working closely with myself and her colleagues, plays a key
role in the continued success of the Nova Network. She is the conduit to the smooth running of our national programming initiatives and thoroughly deserves to be recognised for her contribution,” he said.
