Movements, movements, movements.
It’s that time of year. The industry has shuffled in preparation for the next lap around the sun, and we have organised a one stop list to find all movements for the start of 2023.
SCA:
- Victoria Young will start the new role of Melbourne’s Head of Sales. Previously SCA’s Head of Agency Sales.
- Stephanie Macfie – currently the Assistant Content Director for Hit 100.9 and 107.3 Triple Mand Afternoons announcer on 107.3 Triple M in Hobart, has been promoted to Coastal NSW Content Director for the Central Coast’s Hit 101.3 and 107.7 Triple M.
- Erica McGee – currently Content Director of Mix94.5 in Perth – will become Bunbury and Southern WA Content Director for Hit and Triple M.
- Julia ‘Jules’ Greenhalf and Nicholas Feain become regional Victoria’s brand-new Breakfast show for Hit stations (Nick & Jules)
- Annabelle McNamara appointed as Executive Producer of the Hit Network’s Carrie & Tommy national Drive show
Triple M:
- Mick Molloy joins Mark Geyer on Triple M Breakfast Sydney. Details are expected in early 2023.
- Natarsha Belling joins MG and Mick Molloy as Triple M Breakfast Sydney newsreader.
- 100.7 and 106.7 Triple M: Alex Strachan replaces his father, Mark ‘Strawny’ Strachan OAM on Strawny from Breakfast (Jan 16)
- Cairns 99.5: Justin ‘JB’ Bell joins Tammy Barker (Jan 16)
- 93.1 Triple M: Elerrina McPherson and Joseph Baxter are the new Breakfast show (El & Joe for Breakfast)
triple j:
- Ebony Boadu leaves triple j breakfast. Bryce Mills will be joined by Concetta Caristo in 2023
- Bridget Huthswaite leaves Good Nights
- Latifa Tee will be the new host of Good Nights
- Declan Byrne leaves Home & Hosed
- Ash McGregor will take the reins of Home & Hosed
ABC RN:
- The Bookshelf’s Cassie McCullagh presents The Weekend from 13:00-15:00, replacing Marc Fennell who will continue to host Download This Show
- Robbie Buck will present The Music Show on Saturday and Sunday at 11:00 for six months as Andrew Ford takes some extended leave
ABC Radio Sydney:
- Indira Naidoo moves into Evenings on ABC Radio Sydney and ABC Radio Canberra, replacing Sarah Macdonald who will be hosting a new extended Mornings show
- Suzanne Hill replaces Indira on Weekend Nightlife
ABC Radio Canberra:
- Lish Fejer swaps shifts with Adam Shirley. Adam Shirley moves from Mornings to Breakfast. Breakfast will also start later, running from 06:00 – 09:00. Fejer, who switches with Shirley, will now host Mornings between 09:00 – 11:00
- Alice Mathews joins the station to present Sunday Brunch
ABC Radio Melbourne:
- Sammy J will present Breakfast from Monday to Thursday, while Charlie Pickering will present Breakfast on Fridays from 05:30 to 08:00
- Virginia Trioli returns to Mornings in early March after extended leave, during which time Ali Moore will present the program.
ABC Radio Darwin:
- James Findlay steps into Afternoons (Jan 16)
- Sajarn Stow joins Weekends until Jess Ong returns from leave later in 2023 (Jan 16)
- Evenings host Mikaela Simpson moves to Local Radio Sunday Afternoons digital program (Jan 16)
ABC Radio Hobart:
- Lucy Breaden is back in the Drive seat from Monday to Thursday, with Kylie Baxter presenting Friday Drive
- Mel Bush moves to Breakfast on Friday and Saturday
- Joel Rheinberger moving to Afternoons
- Helen Shield hosting Evenings
- Leon Compton returns to the Mornings show
- Lucie Cutting will present Sundays
Nova Entertainment:
- Nicole Bence appointed Chief Commercial Officer.
Smooth FM:
- Jennifer Hansen leaves Smooth FM 91.5 after nine years at the station
- Mike Perso will host Smooth FM 91.5’s More Music Breakfast Show without Jennifer Hansen
KIIS:
- Alice James joins KIIS 101.1’s Jase & Lauren as Executive Producer
Mix 102.3:
- Max Burford joins Mix 102.3’s The Ali Clarke Breakfast Show
- Kate Meade appointed Executive Producer of The Ali Clarke Breakfast Show
Bay 93.9 FM:
- Roxie Bennett leaves Bay 93.9 FM
91.9 Sea FM:
- 91.9 SEA FM welcome the new breakfast show, Juelz & Seamus (Jan 23)
