Fresh off the heels of triple j‘s Hottest 100 of 2019, the national broadcaster has been teasing a decade-encompassing countdown.

Now dates and details have been announced for triple j’s Hottest 100 of the Decade, with listeners encouraged to vote for their favourite songs of the past ten years.

The 2019 countdown smashed records for the number of voters, with over three million votes cast, so opening up eligibility to any song released in the 2010s should generate plenty of buzz.

It will also give listeners the chance to vote for any tracks they feel should have made it into any given year’s countdown, or tracks punters may have forgotten about the first time around.

Voting opens on Tuesday, February 11, and votes will be taken through to midday, March 9.

The countdown will then take place on Saturday, March 14.

triple j has set up a Hottest 100 archive of all past countdowns, to help listeners get inspired for the Hottest 100 of the Decade.
