Well done to Hot Tomato, the little station that could. Hopefully the metro structure results in more of the commercial share being monetised for 2023 bookings.
Have to feel for those at 92.5, the station formerly known as Gold FM, now another MMM franchise name.
92.5 MMM has the ignominious title of this survey being their lowest ever on FM and first time overall share has been below 10%.
Come on SCA, invest in a once leading station, ditch the hybrid drive show, return to local; most of all, an exclusive music log researched within the market would turn around fortunes.
Embarrassing for commercial radio to be shown up by an aspirant community broadcaster who has more of a grip on what the audience wants than ‘Australia’s largest audio company’.
First time in history 92.5 goes to single digits. Yet, they still don’t appear to be doing anything meaningful to fix it.
So sad for what was once a great station
What an incredible run for Hot Tomato. Very well deserved.
If only Triple M could fully commit to the brand, instead of playing Bruno Mars, Belinda Carlisle and Ed. They are weak when they play in this space and don’t stand for anything.
