Horsham Survey Released

Horsham is the next cab off the rank for the industry approved standard for radio audience measurement surveys in regional areas not covered by GfK.

It’s the Horsham markets first survey in 6 years.

The survey shows that MIXX FM was number 1 most listened with a 35.2% 10 plus. 2^nd in the market was ABC Local Radio with 25.6%. ACE Radio stable mate 3WM secured 23.2% most listened.

Group Program Manager Mark Taylor said: “We intend to continue to survey all of our markets across Victoria and NSW, providing accurate information to keep our listeners entertained and informed as well as being able to provide our advertisers with vital data”.

In Breakfast MIXX leads the pack as Session Listened to Most with 33.5%. ABC Local radio a 27.9 with 3WM a 24.5. MIXX FM dominates most dayparts with the exception of Mornings and Nights. Mornings goes to 3WM by a super tight margin over MIXX and Nights goes to the ABC.

3WM and Mixx FM General Manager Scott Grambau said he was delighted in the outstanding results for both of the ACE Radio stations. Mr. Grambau said the results reflected a dedicated effort to make sure the region’s listening audience had access to quality commercial radio.

“It shows that we are providing a commercial radio service that our listeners not only appreciate but tune into. It is most gratifying and also reflects the hard work our team produces in developing the close relationship we have with our listeners and clients,” he said.

The Local Horsham stations commissioned Xtra Research to carry out the survey which involved 600 respondents and was conducted between 3 November and 16 November 2014.
