Honour for Roger Climpson

Roger Climpson has been honoured at an awards ceremony on the Gold Coast.

The former TV news anchor, who was at the desk for Channel Seven for 20 years, received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Christian Media Connect Annual Gala Awards.

Climpson was also a regular radio presenter and was on air at 2GB in the late seventies.

More recently, he had been heavily involved in Christian radio and was a presenter on Sydney’s Hope 103.2 and Chairman of the Board of Hope Media from 1995 until his retirement in 2004,.

Hope’s Technical Operations Manager Stephen Wilkinson was also honoured at the gala.

He was named Most Valuable Person to Christian Media.
