Hamish and Andy remain on top, for now: Triton Digital Podcast Ranker Sept 2022

The Triton Digital Podcast Ranker results for September 2022 were released today, showing some interesting developments in the top 3.

LiSTNR’s Hamish and Andy remain on top, however, Audioboom’s Casefile True Crime is creeping dangerously close to the top spot.

In the August 2022 ranker, Casefile True Crime trailed Hamish and Andy considerably far, with 744,393 monthly listeners, while Hamish and Andy led Australian podcasts with 997,000.

This month, while Hamish and Andy are still on top, September’s results show the closest their competition has gotten.

Hamish and Andy finished with 966,714 monthly listeners in September 2022, while Casefile came up just shy at 938,355.

To put things into perspective, The Teachers Trial, which had the third most listeners this ranker, is still 409,454 listeners behind Casefile.

Another noteworthy development in September is the fall of ARN’s The Kyle and Jackie O Show from third to sixth place.

The powerhouse duo lost over 150,000 monthly listeners from August to September and had their place taken by News Corp’s The Teachers Trial, which rose three places to find the third spot.

Minor movements across the board otherwise, with the largest movement in the top 10 being LiSTNR’s The Howie Games jumping 15 places to enter the top 10 on 258,816 monthly listeners.

The top three publishers were ARN’s iHeartPodcast Network Australia at #1, LiSTNR (SCA) at #2, and Audioboom at #3.
