Gold FM’s Buddy Bench
School bullying makes the news headlines a little too much.
Back in November we told you about Charlie Cooper, a nine year old Cairns local who is wiser than his years. Charlie came up with the idea of the Buddy Bench at his school, where kids can sit if they are feeling left out or bullied. Elliott Lovejoy from HOT FM caught up with him back in November.
Showing how little people can make a big difference, to help stamp out bullying across the Gold and Tweed Coasts; Richard, Bridge and Spida from Gold FM are teaming up with Bunnings Warehouse to get Buddy Bench’s into as many schools as possible.
"It is such an amazing idea, because bullying is the one thing that is so hard for parents to deal with as they are not there to help out. Gold FM is on board with this 100%, we want to implement as many Gold FM Buddy Benches as we can across the coast to help stamp out bullying”, said Gold FM’s Bridget Daley.
