Gavin Flanagan’s Super Radio Network role comes to an end
Less than seven months after being appointed Group Sales Manager, Gavin Flanagan is parting ways with the Super Radio Network.
Flanagan has confirmed that his role has come to an end, as the business heads in a different direction.
Flanagan started as a young announcer in Karratha, moving to Alice Springs and then Tamworth, where he became General Manager under the late Bill Caralis in 2006.
After a 3-year stint running Business Events (and the Tamworth Country Music Festival) at Tamworth Regional Council, Flanagan returned to the media sector at Nine and Southern Cross Austereo, before returning as GM with SRN in Tamworth.
Flanagan posted to LinkedIn:
“Having spent 12 years with the organisation across a 27 year career, I was given the opportunity to return last year and jumped at it. I genuinely believed I could make a difference and help realise the potential I’ve always known was there.”
“While it hasn’t worked out as I would have liked, I’m proud of the way I approached the role, focusing on building strong teams, improving performance and driving positive change.”
Mike Byrne was also let go on Monday.
I work with Gavin a few years ago he’s a real good “radio man” not many of those guys left , he’s another loss to the industry,
