Ford Ennals resigns as CRA Chief Executive

Ford Ennals CEO of industry body Commercial Radio & Audio (CRA) – has announced his resignation, effective immediately, as of yesterday, 15 April.

A written statement authorised by CRA said:

Mr Ennals has served as CEO for two years, during which he led the rebranding of the industry body from Commercial Radio Australia to Commercial Radio & Audio.

He also oversaw the launch of Radio 360, the new industry audience measurement system which provided more robust audience listening data.

CRA represents 260 commercial radio stations across Australia, with members including Australian Radio Network (ARN), SCA, NOVA Entertainment, Nine Radio and ACE Radio Broadcasters.

Chair of the CRA Board Ciaran Davis thanked Mr Ennals for his leadership of CRA, saying “Ford has made some great contributions during his tenure with CRA.  We wish him well for his future role.”

Mr Ennals says “I’ve had the privilege to successfully guide the CRA through a key period of transition. I extend my gratitude to the CRA team and our members. I am confident that the commercial radio and audio sector is well-positioned for future growth and success.”

Mr Davis confirmed that Jo Dick, Chief Commercial Officer for CRA will caretake the role whilst the Board undertakes a search for a new CEO.
