Fitzy & Wippa re-sign with Nova

Nova's Fitzy & Wippa have re-signed with dmg Radio for four years in a multi-million dollar deal.

The Australian reports that the new contract follows a rumoured discussion with Southern Cross Austereo.

DMG Radio Australia CEO Cathy O'Connor said she believes that Fitzy & Wippa were "at the very beginning of their trajectory".

"It's a long deal and a commitment on our part. There's a lot of enthusiasm about building up the digital side of the show. As the video side of things becomes more prevalent, they could be anything."

DMG are believed to have paid heavily for the signatures, with sources saying that the package for the duo is worth in excess of  $11 million dollars across the four years.

In the most recent Nielsen survey Fitzy & Wippa held a 6% share overall in the Breakfast daypart, ranked in 4th FM position, behind 2Day, Triple M and WS FM.
