Finalists revealed for Mediaweek’s inaugural Next of the Best Awards
Mediaweek has unveiled the finalists for its inaugural Next of the Best Awards.
The latest entry in Mediaweek’s event calendar will celebrate people under the age of 40 in the media industry. The awards ceremony takes place Friday, May 26 2023, the first night of Vivid Sydney, at Doltone House – Heritage Wharf at Jones Bay Wharf.
Mediaweek’s Next of the Best Awards recognises the exciting talent in the industry under 40 across media agencies, media sales, content creators, and marketing. The night will feature 12 awards selected by an industry panel of 10 experts making the Next of the Best Awards the most prestigious young talent awards in the media industry.
To be eligible for Next of the Best Awards, the nominee must be aged 40 or under (born June 01, 1983) and work in Sales, Advertising, PR, Ad Tech, Marketing, Media Buying/ Planning, Radio, Television, and Publishing.
The awards ceremony will also name a Grand Prix Award winner at the end of the night, chosen from the winners of the first 17 awards. Additionally, The Awards will name the top 50 influencers in Australia, using world-class data to rank the Influencers who cut through the most in the past 12 months.

It’s the same show run down created decades ago back at 4KQ and every passing survey shows the attempt to transfer audience for a quick gain is not working.
Neil Breen’s solo breakfast show is outrating them year on year.
If the current producers and programmers realised the obvious need to serve audiences with compelling, current content they can’t get elsewhere, share would increase.
Instead, it’s birthday lotteries and 7:40am quizzes. Can hear better on regional radio.
What’s next after their contract isn’t renewed? Recruit Mark and Caroline from Maroochydore? They’d do a better job.
