Fifi’s fake wedding in Vegas

The Fox 101.9’s Fifi, Fev & Nick have kicked off their Las Vegas trip with a fake wedding in Sin City.

The Melbourne Breakfast trio are in Vegas for ‘Boxy’s Big Night‘ and were given tickets to see Adele on the condition they got her attention at the show. 

As a result, the team decided to dress Fifi up in a white wedding gown – as suggested by listeners – and went to the Caesars Palace concert. 

“So the suggestion made on our show last week – someone rang in and said, ‘Fi why don’t you pretend you got married?’,” said Fifi. 

“What we had noticed in a lot of news stories was that it was people who had signs or had just got married or engaged or wanted to propose.”

“So I wore a wedding dress, I had the veil on, I had the bouquet, we had a sign …”

The sign taken into the concert said, ‘I walked down the aisle to your song today’ – and it worked. 

During a song, Adele noticed the sign and said, “Oi, Oi! Congratualtions!”

Overall the team were disappointed with the outcome.

“It was a lot of work … you had everything done – white dress, veil, no groom,” said Fev. 

“I went to great length, but I’m going to point this out, the mission was to get Adele to speak to us. She looked me in the eye and said congratulations.” 

The dress initially gained attention online with people wondering if Fifi had actually walked down the aisle before it was revealed as a prank.

Fifi, Fev & Nick are in Las Vegas as part of the upcoming Boxy’s Big Night challenge.
