ex-MKR contestant gets gig on Sea FM

With news a few days ago that Sea FM Hobart's Hayden Noughton is moving to NXFM, the station have announced his replacement.

Matt Newell from My Kitchen Rules will follow in his Dad's footsteps (Mick's on 7HOFM breakfast) and will be Sea FM's new workday announcer.

In an email to staff, GM Damon Wise said:

"Matt has proven himself as a great emerging talent for Sea FM by not relying on his TV success but by by putting in his own time to learn all aspects of radio off air and on.

"From doing mid dawns, nights, early weekends, driving the cars and continually asking for an ear and eye on everything he does. Matt has a passion for it and has spent a lot of hours and free time to listen and learn."
