Every dog has its day at Triple M Central Coast

Triple M Central Coast Breakfast co-host and dog lover Maz Compton loves bringing her pet pooch Happy into work.

“My son Henry named our dog Happy,” says Maz. “We got him after we had lost my dad, so he was a bit of a grief dog for me.”

In the lead up to Take Your Dog to Work Day this Friday, Maz says “We often have pets in the office and are encouraged to bring our dogs into work any day of the week.”

Maz is celebrating the launch of the Pets in Business program, an initiative of Companion Animal Network Australia (CANA).

She’s a big fan of pet-friendly workplaces.

“I absolutely love it when any one of my colleagues brings their pet in to work. Of course, you need to be mindful that it is a good fit.”

This year, Triple M Central Coast hosted its first ever ‘Puppy Bowl,’ a local spin on a similar event in the USA, based around the NFL’s Superbowl.

“The idea being whichever puppy went to the Puppy Bowl first won!” says Maz.

“We had our listeners represented by each pup and the winner walked away with $500.”
