Former Triple M Breakfast co-host Luke Darcy launches podcast on LiSTNR

Former Editor & Content Director

Luke Darcy has a new podcast with SCA’s LiSTNR.

Darcy co-hosted SCA’s Triple M Breakfast in Melbourne alongside Eddie McGuire before the pair moved on and were replaced by Marty Sheargold.

Darcy will now host Empowering Leaders with Luke Darcy, an original production from LiSTNR.

The podcast will explore themes around leadership, leadership styles and enacting change.

LiSTNR said the podcast comes at a time when people are questioning our leaders more than ever before, so the concept of what makes a good leader has never been more prevalent.

Darcy’s interview with Victorian premier Dan Andrews last year – which focused on Andrews’ leadership during the state’s COVID-19 crisis – was Triple M’s most-listened to radio podcast in the station’s history.

The new podcast series will feature podcast and TV host Andy Lee, Australian cricket coach Justin Langer and a host of other business leaders.

Darcy said the podcast is a must for anyone who wants to grow as a leader.

“I’ve seen firsthand just how powerful a more positive and inclusive leadership
approach has on individuals, in schools, sporting clubs and boardrooms, and am a huge advocate of the invaluable knock-on effects it has on people’s quality of life, mental health and overall day to day happiness. We know the old tyrannical approach doesn’t get the best out of anyone and I have learnt so much talking to others who are the best in their fields about how they approach leading teams,” he said.

LiSTNR Original Podcasts’ head of content, Sam Cavanagh, said: “Luke’s natural curiosity and passion for self-improvement shines through in this podcast. The conversations feature incredible stories and tactics that will have all listeners rethinking the positive impact they make on the people around them.”

I’m not sure if the timing for Justin Langer’s interview is right…
