Emily Copeland appointed Head of Music for ABC audio

The ABC has announced that Emily Copeland will become Head of Music for the ABC Audio team in an newly created role. Copeland was previously the Director of Audience Innovation & Music Partnerships with ARN responsible for the set up and launch of CADA and overseeing their national country music station Kix Country.

With the ABC Copeland will lead and manage the music strategy across triple j, Double J, triple j Unearthed, ABC Country, ABC Classic and ABC Jazz.

Copeland said:

ABC Head of Audio Ben Latimer said of the appointment:

“Emily brings an exceptional range of skills and experience to the role and her understanding and appreciation of Australian music across genres is phenomenal and will play a pivotal role in bringing a focus back to the ABC as the home of Australian music.”

Copeland commences the new role next Monday May 6.
