Elf Radio returns for 2019 with new Alexa skill

You know Christmas is fast approaching when Elf Radio returns to the digital airwaves and with just six weeks until the ‘big day’, Elf is back!

Australian Radio Network’s award-winning digital Christmas station can be heard on iHeartRadio Australia and on DAB+ in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane this year.

It will also be even easier to ‘get the party started’ with Elf Radio available on Amazon’s Alexa.

Geraint Davies, ‘ELF Officer’ of iHeartRadio Australia, says they have the playlist to lift the spirits.

“Festive songs have a unique ability to lift people’s spirits, and this year, Elf Radio is delivering even more songs to get Australia rocking around the Christmas tree! 

“This year we have added an Alexa skill to make it even easier to get the sounds of Christmas in your home or by your pool. Just say “Alexa Play Elf Radio.” 

Elf Radio is on air now and will broadcast until December 28th.

Meanwhile, a radio station in the US has gotten the jump on everyone, kicking off the Christmas festivities last month.

Oldies station, Z104 in Pennsylvania/Ohio changed its name to “Christmas 104” with a promise to play all-Christmas music until year-end.  

They kicked off the festivities with the Bing Crosby classic “I’m Dreaming Of A White Christmas”.
