Craig Bruce joins ‘The Daily Talk Show’

Former Assistant Editor

Craig Bruce joined Tommy Jackett and Josh Janssen on their podcast The Daily Talk Show.

Craig is an ex-programmer and currently the host of the hugely popular Game Changers: Radio podcast.

Tommy and Josh took the opportunity to pick his brain about the ins and outs of radio, with topics including the pressure of picking talent and potential, radio’s biggest personalities, his thoughts on podcasting and the mainstream media.

Craig also reveals how numbers and surveys affect content, and what it was like waiting for the phone to ring after finishing at SCA.

Watch the full pod below, filmed in their new studio, or catch up at Apple Podcasts.

Good chat but a bit look at me. I wonder if CB remembers the amount of staff on poor money and long hours working for him who never ever get a mention on these podcasts. It’s not all about the name drop of a-list radio stars who made the network successful. Be great to hear about some of those on the team that gave everything for very little. Thoughts CB ? These podcasts are just becoming a name drop of who you started in radio that turned out to be successful. Kinda boring tbh as it’s like interviewing your besties.

Great point johnny and it doesn’t need to be negative necessarily. But…
top 4 things that I got wrong, people i wish I made time for, things I want to do in life for others unpaid or that aren’t leveraging my work history, people who you don’t know that outsmarted me along the way, how I helped smaller PD’s shoot talent that wasn’t necessarily bad, but that were a problem we couldn’t address. My biggest lie. Did PJ rub my head and therefore win the war. How to wear a beanie in a motel room well – are just a few.
